Kenya Edges Towards Developing Her Nuclear Power Plant After Signing MOU With The United States

Kenya and the United States have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on civil nuclear cooperation.

The agreement boosts Kenya’s nuclear expertise through training, strong regulations, and future power plant projects.

It also supports Kenya’s plan to build its first nuclear plant, generating thousands of megawatts and lowering energy costs over time.
"I am very confident that we have built an ecosystem that is robust enough to support the development of nuclear energy as part of the development of the other sources of energy," President Ruto said while addressing a team of experts.
