2025-12-22 12:38
Two of boxing's biggest names will fight for the first time when Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather meet in an exhibition bout, scheduled for 2026.

Tyson has confirmed that the highly anticipated fight will take place in Africa.

Tyson, 59, is a former undisputed heavyweight champion who recorded 50 wins in 59 fights, with 44 coming by way of knockout. He holds the record as the youngest boxer to have won a heavyweight title.
His opponent, 48-year-old Mayweather, retired in 2017 with a spotless 50-0 record and world titles collected in five separate weight divisions.

According to Tyson, the decision to bring the fight to Africa is inspired by his long standing admiration of the continent and the historic 1974 "Rumble In The Jungle" fight between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman in Zaire (now DR Congo).
