Encomiums from far and wide have continued to pour in for the Nigerian born administrator and talent manager Tabiyah Yetunde who has been officially appointed and sworn in as the Mayor of Fort Coffee, a town in Oklahoma City, USA.
She becomes the first African to hold this position of authority in a city with a metro population of over 1.4 million.
Prior to her role as mayor, Yetunde was actively involved in local Fort Coffee projects, including spearheading the reopening of the town’s senior center in 2024 and working on grant writing.

In a official statement, Yetunde affirmed that she is coming into office with a commitment to order, accountability, transparency and lawful governance.
