Nigerian Chef and Guinness World Record (GWR) holder for marathon cooking, Hilda Baci, is set to cook 250 bags of rice in an attempt to set a new world record for the biggest jollof pot.
explaining the scale of the project, she revealed that she would be using a pot with a capacity of 22,619 litres.
“I am making the executive decision to cook 250 bags of basmati rice. the pot is 6 meters wide, 1.1 meters tall, and about 1.3 meters deep. I am sure the pot is not going to sink,” she said.

The event, scheduled for september 12, 2025, is expected to feed 10,000 people.
This announcement comes nearly two years after Hilda Baci cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes to break the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
