Uganda is set to waive visa requirements for international visitors attending the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, in a move aimed at easing travel across the East African co-host nations.

The policy aligns with preparations by Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania, who will jointly stage the tournament. Reports confirm that visitors travelling for the competition will benefit from visa-free or simplified entry arrangements to support smooth movement across borders during the event.
Officials say the measure is designed to boost tourism, improve regional mobility, and ensure seamless access for fans, teams, and officials during Africa’s biggest football tournament.

The 2027 AFCON will mark a major milestone for East Africa as it prepares to welcome a large influx of international visitors across multiple host cities.
